The Town Clerk’s Office has made the transition to the new New York State Decals System. Hunting and fishing licenses are now being issued in the Town Clerk’s Office. There is a new fee structure in place and it should now cost less to purchase a license. Please click below to view the price list and the selection of licenses to choose from.
HUNTING LICENSES ON SALE IN BOSTON
Town Clerk Sandra Quinlan announces that NYS Sporting Licenses go on sale Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the Boston Town Hall. You may apply for a Deer Management Permit when you purchase your license. The Deer Management Permit deadline is October 1, 2024. Landowners of over 50 acres may apply with landowner status for their Deer Management Permit. You MUST provide the Swiss Code and Section, Block and Lot number of your property when applying. These numbers can be found on your property tax bill. Be sure to bring proof of residency. A Driver’s License is preferred. You may also purchase your license via the internet at www.dec.ny.gov look for the “Purchase a Sporting License Here” link under Hunting.
Active-Duty Military Personnel stationed outside New York State and home on leave for (30) days or less may be eligible for free Fishing, Big and Small Game and Trapping License.
You may purchase your lifetime license at the Town Clerk’s Office. Cash or Check accepted as payment
