Dept. of Emergency Management

This role leads the development and execution of the municipality’s comprehensive emergency management program. From planning and preparedness to real‑time disaster response, the position oversees all procedures designed to protect the community from any type of emergency.
The Emergency Manager coordinates and commands operations during disaster events and training exercises, guiding clerical and safety staff as well as large groups of volunteers when activated. The role also provides leadership for the municipality’s Safety Committee, ensuring a proactive approach to workplace and community safety.
Additional related responsibilities are performed as needed to support the municipality’s overall readiness and resilience.
